App creative utility
Resize one app icon into a practical export pack
Crop or contain a PNG, JPEG or WebP locally, preview the result, and download selected flat PNG exports in a ZIP.
Your working inputs stay in this browser. Anonymous site analytics may record tool actions, never your values.
Prepare a flat icon pack
PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 20 MB / 32 MP. Every export is flattened onto your background color, including crop mode.
Flat raster exports cannot reconstruct adaptive foreground/background layers or Apple’s layered icons. Store size and opacity checks are not content or policy approval.
How to read the result
The browser redraws your source at each selected size. Crop fills the square and may trim edges; contain preserves the whole source and adds the chosen background.
Flat PNGs do not replace Android adaptive foreground/background layers or Apple's current layered Icon Composer workflow. Confirm current platform requirements before submission.
Worked example
Start with an approved 1024×1024 icon. Select Apple 1024 and Play 512 exports to receive two flat PNGs. A transparent source is flattened onto your chosen color. A 256px source can be enlarged, but its missing detail cannot be reconstructed.
Definitions and method
Crop fills a square and may trim edges. Fit preserves the entire image and adds a background. The small preview shows whether the icon remains readable; it is not a visual-quality score. The Play export is checked against the 1,024 KB file-size ceiling.
Common questions
- Is this a complete adaptive icon generator?
- No. Exports are flat PNGs. Android adaptive layers and Apple Icon Composer assets need their platform-specific workflows.
- Why is the preview square?
- The exported raster stays square. Devices apply their own masks, which can vary; do not permanently bake a mask into every target.
- Will resizing improve a blurry source?
- No. Upscaling makes more pixels without recovering the original detail. Use a larger approved source where possible.
