The right scope for your app

Two traffic types. Different reasons to install.

An install campaign needs a clear definition of what you are buying. We offer affiliate-network acquisition with rewarded/incentivised and non-incentivised options. The traffic mix should be explicit in your brief so that you can interpret campaign results in the right context.

Rewarded / incentivised installs

Users receive a reward or incentive for the action specified by the publisher campaign. That incentive can influence why someone installs, so install volume should be evaluated alongside the agreed activation and retention measures.

Specify the rewarded action and assess post-install behaviour.

Non-incentivised installs

Users are not offered a reward specifically for the install. Traffic is still sourced through third-party affiliate networks. Source, audience fit and post-install results remain relevant when deciding whether to continue or expand a campaign.

Keep the source and traffic classification clear in the campaign brief.

A campaign scoped to your app

Start with the App Store listing, target countries, intended volume and the action that makes a user valuable to you. Available inventory, timing and any additional requirements must be confirmed for the proposed campaign.

Receive a quote tied to a defined campaign scope.

Internal traffic checks and measurement

Vmobify checks for invalid traffic internally. Track attributed installs through a compatible third-party mobile measurement partner (MMP), or review download and acquisition data in App Store Connect. Confirm the integration and reporting definitions before launch.

Use campaign attribution and store reporting with their respective limitations.

Compare the traffic before you choose

Rewarded and non-incentivised campaigns can attract users with different motivations. Use the same agreed reporting definitions when assessing them.

Traffic partners and ad formats

Vmobify works with multiple affiliate and third-party network partners to source traffic. Formats describe where an ad appears; they do not by themselves tell you whether a user is rewarded. Confirm both the placement mix and incentive arrangement for your campaign.

Pop-under and banner ads
Partner inventory includes pop-under placements and banner ads. Discuss which formats are available for the target market and how users reach the App Store listing.
Notification ads
Notification placements are part of the partner traffic mix. Confirm the specific delivery format and destination with the campaign brief rather than assuming these are notifications sent by your own app.
Interstitial and native ads
Interstitial placements appear between content or activities; native placements are designed for the surrounding content experience. Availability depends on the partners and campaign.
A defined partner mix
A campaign can draw on multiple partners. Confirm the formats and source breakdowns available, together with any rewarded action, before comparing performance.

Plan an iOS install budget

Illustrative arithmetic at US$0.20 per install for this partner-network offer, with no extra Vmobify campaign fee. These examples are not minimum orders or guaranteed inventory; confirm availability for your requested market and traffic mix.

1,000 installs: US$200
1,000 × US$0.20 = US$200 in campaign charges. Confirm campaign availability and the billable install definition before ordering.
10,000 installs: US$2,000
10,000 × US$0.20 = US$2,000 in campaign charges. Requested volume does not establish availability or a delivery deadline.
Calculate your total
US$0.20 × billable installs gives the campaign charge for this offer. Vmobify adds no extra campaign fee. Agree the install definition and reporting source before delivery.
Decide whether the economics work
An install budget purchases the agreed acquisition event. Use your own activation and revenue data to evaluate cost per activated user or customer; do not assume every install becomes one.

What counts as an iOS install?

A store download, a first app open and an attributed campaign install describe different events. The campaign agreement needs to identify the event used for billing.

Download and first open
Downloading the app does not establish that someone opened it. A first-open event records a launch in the chosen measurement system; it does not by itself identify the advertising source.
Attributed install
An attributed install is credited to advertising under a defined attribution method and window. Apple’s AdAttributionKit attributes an installation when the user launches the app, with reporting subject to its privacy rules.
Redownloads and duplicates
Specify whether returning users or redownloads qualify, how duplicate records are reconciled and which report is used to settle billing. These conditions are confirmed in the quote.
Activation and retention
Registration, completing onboarding and returning later are separate outcomes. Request the events your app can measure, with a consistent cohort and observation window.

Apple: how app attribution works

Track installs in an MMP or App Store Connect

Use a compatible third-party mobile measurement partner for campaign attribution, or App Store Connect for store download and acquisition reporting. These systems answer different questions.

Third-party MMP reporting
With the required app and partner integration, an MMP can report attributed installs and supported post-install events. Source detail depends on the integration and privacy limits; confirm compatibility before launch.
App Store Connect reporting
Review download trends and available acquisition sources in your own App Store Connect account. Overall downloads can include organic and other paid activity, so a total increase alone does not prove delivery from one partner.
Compare consistent definitions
Align the dates, timezone, first-download or redownload treatment and attribution method when comparing reports. Store downloads and attributed first launches need not produce matching totals.
Choose a reporting source before launch
Identify the campaign report used to assess delivery and billing. If you use store reporting alone, agree what can be verified and what cannot be attributed to an individual source.

An example campaign reporting brief

Use this outline to request the reporting you need. It is a sample specification, not a client report or a promise that every field is available. Network integration, app instrumentation and privacy limits affect the breakdowns.

Delivery and cost
Reporting period and timezone; campaign; country where available; traffic classification; attributed and accepted billable installs; spend; effective CPI. Separate traffic types rather than hiding them in a blended total.
Source and incentive
Request publisher or source identifiers where available and the action that earns any reward. A reward for registration or another downstream event still changes the acquisition context, even when the download itself is not rewarded.
Post-install outcomes
Request activation counts, an explicitly defined D1 or D7 retention measure and purchase events where measurable. Record missing or delayed data instead of interpreting it as zero.
Internal checks and reconciliation
Vmobify handles invalid-traffic detection internally. Compare report differences using the same dates and event definitions, and raise unexplained discrepancies for review. There is no separate published invalid-install policy.

Is an install campaign right for your app?

Choose the campaign around the outcome you need to evaluate. Volume alone cannot establish product demand or sustainable acquisition.

A defined acquisition test
A live App Store listing, supported target markets and a measurable activation event give you a practical basis for assessing a campaign. Start with a budget you can evaluate before expanding.
An organic discovery problem
If relevant users cannot find or understand your listing, review keywords and store conversion through iOS ASO. More paid installs do not replace that work.
A customer or subscriber target
Use cost per activated user or paying customer alongside CPI. If those events cannot be measured, treat customer-acquisition conclusions as unresolved.
A guaranteed chart position
This engagement does not promise rankings, reviews or retained users. Apple prohibits manipulation of App Store discovery; traffic labels alone do not establish compliance.

How your iOS install campaign works

  1. 01

    Define the campaign

Share your App Store link, target countries, volume and preferred traffic type. Tell us whether your primary goal is installs, activation or another measurable action.

  2. 02

    Agree the quote and setup

Confirm country and inventory availability, schedule, the billable install definition and tracking setup. Vmobify handles invalid-traffic detection internally; there is no separate published invalid-install policy.

  3. 03

    Review before expanding

Assess delivered installs against the agreed definitions, then review downstream behaviour where measurable. Decide on the next campaign using those results.

Questions before you start

What is the price for iOS installs?

This partner-network iOS install offer is US$0.20 per install, with no extra Vmobify campaign fee. Share your target countries, traffic type and requested volume so we can confirm availability before launch.

Where do these iOS installs come from?

Traffic comes primarily through multiple affiliate and third-party network partners. Ad formats include pop-under, banner, notification, interstitial and native ads. The available mix depends on partner inventory and the campaign brief.

What is the difference between rewarded and non-incentivised traffic?

Rewarded traffic includes an incentive for the action defined in the publisher campaign. Non-incentivised traffic does not offer a reward specifically for the install. Neither label alone establishes retention, purchase intent or profitability.

Can I request a particular country or number of installs?

Include the countries and volume in your brief. Availability, delivery timing and the applicable quote need to be confirmed for that request.

Will buying installs guarantee App Store rankings or paying users?

No. An install is not a guarantee of a higher organic ranking, a retained user or a purchase. We scope acquisition around the agreed campaign objective; this page does not offer paid reviews or guaranteed rank manipulation.

Apple App Review Guidelines

What should we agree about attribution and billing?

Agree how an install is counted, which report is used for billing, reporting dates and whether redownloads qualify. MMP attribution and App Store download reports can differ; their totals should not be treated as interchangeable.

Do you offer Apple Ads or ASO as well?

Yes. Those are separate engagements: Apple Ads covers paid campaigns on the App Store, while iOS ASO focuses on discovery and store conversion. Use the related pages below to choose the relevant starting point.

How do you handle invalid traffic?

Vmobify detects invalid traffic internally. There is no separate published invalid-install policy. Internal checks do not constitute a guarantee of zero invalid traffic or an automatic refund or replacement entitlement.

Can I track the installs in my own analytics?

Yes. You can use a compatible third-party MMP with the necessary integration to review attributed installs, or App Store Connect to review downloads and available acquisition-source data. Store totals can include other acquisition activity and are not automatically a partner-by-partner campaign report.
